 At this point in her hair care and I know its been a long time. My sister hair has gone through a lot of damage from her letting her friends press her hair with a flat iron. All my warnings did nothing but with a little cute she is back on track. Here is the Family Thang I call doing my sister hair care for easy up dos and school. While she sleeps I creep in and play. This hair style was done after her hair had been washed ( African black soap style ), detangled using a brush, and divided into section. Then while still damped with a blend of aloe vera jel, glycerin and essential oils its ready to seal. Her hair is then sealed with Cocoa butter and Shea butter mix to give it a few days of moisture. I used those bendy Foam rods for each section wrapped her hair with a satin wrap and here are the results and the style she wanted.

Two strand twist Hair Style, fun handmade hair accessories

Its been a along while since I have talked about hair and showing how much fun I like to have with my hair. Now that  I am wigged out in these colder months I wanted to share some hair success and randomness.
 






Here we have some curly results after wearing a twist out for two weeks. Then turning those twist outs into china bumps to add that extra twirl in the ends. Both these styles are excellent protective styles and by combining them Like I did a natural super curl is created.









Here you see the random style I was trying out. First single strand twisting my hair then styling into this interesting design.








Thus creating two front bumps.









(Side view) keeping everything neat and flat a love natural design  the absence of perfection yet I was able to create balance. While never exposing too much scalp giving hair a thicker appearance.

This random free style  hair do.Which I created blind wrapping the single strand twists into a curve pattern for the front and mid section of my hair. It vaguely looks like a ying yang sign which is kinda cool.

Boiling yarn braid genie loc twists, hairstyle, curling style

First attempt at curling my genie locs was interesting. One thing that set me back from the curls being defined was not having a over night towel dry.
To change up this style in a few weeks I am attempting to keep these in for 4-6 weeks while still maintaining a good hair care routine with moisture and growth oil and my various herbal hair rinses. Next time I try this curl technique I will be letting it dry overnight.

After a week my  scalp is nice and clean, itch free and I continue to moisturized using my daily moisture spray, shea butter cream and deep conditioning. I don't do it often but a daily scalp massage help me notice faster hair growth result I need to get on that again been kinda lazy with that routine.

I love this style this is why I did my big chop was in a faux hawk style. My hair has been growing faster at the middle crown area and slower on the sides. My focus now is to get the sides the same length as the crown area in the next few months. Then I am on to the next thing in hair care herbs and stretching maybe even straightening with low heat and every 6 weeks a trim.
