" PLease be aware that Health Canada has issued a warning in regards to Brizilian Blowouts, advising salons to stop using it: its level of formaldehyde exceeds the allowable amount for cosmetic products.Formaldehyde is a cancer causing ingredients that is also apart of some preservative: studies show it affect human health from being exposed ( skin and lungs).
A close friend is bringing her business from Brazil she distributes only to professionals in salons and teaches how to use her products. Her products is natural straightening she has 20 years of using and selling this product. she brought up a troubling fact recently. That most salons professionals are unaware and believe that formaldehyde is a good ingredient because it gives products the desired effect they wanted. In short they choose to continue to use the more hazardous product when a safer alternative presented itself.
If anyone is interested in spreading the word to any salon using formaldehyde products tell them about this article. Its the salon owners that is at most risk due to more exposure at their workplace.
