Soft water mostly contains sodium which gives it a slitghy salty taste. This water is better for cleaning and is the best to use to get hair feeling clean and look great. To combat the salty nature of soft water it is better to get distilled or deionized. I use distilled water in all my hair care products to give hair the best benefits.

Hot or warm water should be used before a hair treatment like a deep condition because it open the hair follicles and allows moisture to penetrate into hair that is dry and damaged.

Then to finish the treatment and seal in the moisture it is best to use cool water to seal the follicle. This is just like the pores which open and clues with varying temps.
